Skelding Academy was founded in 2022 by Mike, a Qualified Teacher of Science in an attempt to bring excellent tutoring, at an affordable price, both online and in-person.

Skelding Academy is named after, and dedicated to, Mike’s maternal grandfather, Professor A. Donald Skelding. “Grandbaby” instilled a love of learning and education into all of his grandchildren, and along with Mike’s teachers, nurtured a love of science and nature, which Mike brings to his lessons.

Tutor & Founder

Mike graduated from Bangor University with a degree in Chemistry in 2013.

In 2015 he qualified as a Teacher of Science specialising in Chemistry at which point he taught in an outstanding school in the Midlands.

After leaving teaching, Mike has worked in industry, the heritage sector, and a tutor.

In his free time, Mike volunteers for a heritage charity.
